Yoga Principle #2: Be Honest
Be truthful in your actions, thoughts, and speech. Tell the truth. Be yourself. Be true to you.
Avoid: dishonesty/lying, deception, manipulation, holding grudges, pretending to be someone else, not
being honest with yourself
Practice: giving constructive feedback, forgiveness, non judgment, assertiveness, owning your own
feelings and behavior, honesty, being true to yourself
Example #1: You are at your friend’s house after school and he offers you his homework to copy.
Though it would certainly be easier, it would also be dishonest and so you choose to do the assignment
yourself.
