Yoga Principles

 

Yoga is much more than just a set of physical poses - it also encompasses universal concepts that support your child's character development, respect of self and others, and healthy lifestyle choices.  Over the course of a session, Yoga Sprouts children's classes explore the following 8 Yoga Principles.

Be generous. Share, Don't take what isn't yours.

Remember to do all things in moderation. Practice self-control.

Be Clean

Take care of yourself, body and mind. Take care of your surroundings, community, and earth.

Be Content

Be content with yourself. Celebrate your uniqueness, Maintain a positive outook. Have an internal sense of peacefulness. Practice gratefulness.

Be disciplined. Always try your best. Establish good habits. Finish what you start. Persevere: Don't give up!

Be reflective. Spend time with yourself. Know yourself. Take the time for quiet. Be still.
